Dips are a great way to supercharge your snacks!
Hummus is high in protein, Calcium, Magnesium and other essential nutrients.
This is a staple in my kids lunchboxes.
It's great with Carrots, Cucumber, Celery as snacks, or on Wraps, rolls or Rice Crackers.
1 Garlic Clove minced (optional)
400 Gram Tin Chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
Juice from 1 Lemon
1-2 Tablespoons of hulled Tahini (I love Mavers Brand)
4 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 Tsp Cumin
1/2 Tsp Paprika
1/4 Tsp Turmeric
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until desired consistency. (If you would like it a little smoother, you can add a small amount of water) .
Eat Straight away - or keep in sealed container for up to 5 days.
Add roasted pumpkin for a sweeter dip
Add 1/2 Raw peeled Beetroot for a vibrant red dip
