On a warm day, I'm a sucker for Ice Cream.
This is one of my personal favourite recipes!
My family love this as a healthy desert. So much in fact, sometimes we have Desert for Breakfast!!
This Combo makes also makes the Perfect Post work out snack! Replacing glycogen, protein and electrolytes.
This recipe calls for pre frozen bananas.
I ALWAYS make sure I have frozen bananas ready to go. Its a great way to use up the super ripe ones too!
I love to have this with Greek Yogurt, Blueberries, Cashews, Ground flaxseed and Cinnamon!
Ingredients: (Serves 2)
2 x Bananas chopped and frozen
1 Teaspoon Cacao Powder
2 x Egg whites or 2 x Tablespoons of yogurt
1 x Tablespoon of Plain or Vanilla Protein Powder
1 x Tablespoon of Peanut of Nut butters (I love Mavers brand)
What to do:
Place bananas in a food processor and blend until smooth (ish)
Add all other ingredients
Blend until smooth.
Note: Using the Egg Whites will make the consistency more like soft serve ice cream!
